Frank Edoho losses Who wants to be a millionaire job as MTN pull out


For those who have being following TV program who wants to be A millionaire or Who had followed it in the past, we really have bad news.

Who wants to be a millionaire is a Nigerian game show which is based on the original British format of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.

The Tv show which is of the educative genre and somewhat captivating and intriguing,involves question and answers with the usage of lifelines like 50/50,phone a friend or ask the audience.It has therefore glued viewers to their TV sets as they watch the contestant battle it out.

It first aired on 8 October 2004 and has produced millionaires like,Osazuwa Osahon Daniels - 5 million Naira (Year 2009),Aroma Ufodike Chimuanya - 10 million Naira (Year 2009),Babatunde Oni Oladipo - 5 million Naira (Year 2010),Nnaemeka Ubaekwena - 5 million Naira (Year 2012) and others.

But latest gist filtering in has it that we may not be seeing Frank Edoho anymore as he is reportedly out of his show host job due to the fact that MTN has terminated their sponsorship agreement as they seek to invest in other channels.

Edoho has confirmed this to fans yesterday during the show which was the last episode and blamed it all on recession adding that he hopes the show will be back on air soon.


In one of his twitter posts,he wrote:

"Sadly,we are going on a break cos our sponsor pulled out.But we thank@mtnng for being with us all these years,please thank them for us"

He confirmed that the app version of the show will still continue to run.
